1
Hold the end of a measuring tape at the center of the discus ring while helper 1 pulls out 95' 4-3/4" of tape to the location where you want the center of the discus sector. Have him mark the point "A" with a stake.
-
2
Release the first tape measure and hold the end of another one at the center of the discus ring while helper 2 runs off 100 feet of tape to the right of point A. Meanwhile, have helper 1 measure off 30 feet to the right of point A. Where helper 1 and helper 2 are able to meet with exactly 100 feet and 30 feet on their measuring tapes marks the right sector line. Drive a stake into the ground at the intersection.
-
3
Hold the measuring tape at the center of the discus ring while helper 2 unreels 100 feet of tape to the left of point A and helper 1 measures 30 feet in the opposite direction from point B. Where the helpers meet marks the left sector line. Drive stake C into the ground.

4
Attach a string to stake B and pull it taut to the center of the discus ring. Use it as a guide to paint or chalk the boundary of the discus sector. Repeat this process from stake C to the center of the discus ring.
