How to Measure a Wetsuit

Wetsuit are garments used for water sports such as surfing, swimming and diving. They protect the wearer from elements and help provide insulation and buoyancy. Many types of wetsuit offer varying thickness of materials to protect based on depths and water temperatures. If you are selling a wetsuit or comparing measurements of one suit to another, you can take measurements of the garment for comparison and fit. The best way to fit for a wetsuit, though, is to take your own body measurements and find a size that fits you best.

Take the circumferences of the chest, waist and hip of the wetsuit. Place the measuring tape under the arm and hold the tape around the chest of the wetsuit.
