The youth version of an indoor volleyball is smaller and weighs much less than an adult volleyball.
The average youth volleyball weighs about 9 oz. and is 25 to 26 inches in circumference. An adult volleyball can weigh up to 10 oz. and is 25 1/2 to 26 1/2 inches in circumference. Beach volleyballs have a heavier weight and are slightly larger. They normally weigh 10 oz. and are 26 to 27 inches circumference.
