Instructions

1
Examine the mat to determine if the repair needed involves a cut in the mat or if the damage is more of a hole or depression.
-
2
Apply the glue to any cuts in the mat. The glue is specifically designed to bond with the latex and foam of the mat and is easily acquired with the purchase of any wresting mat repair kit. Allow the glue to dry overnight.
-
3
Apply the caulking compound to any remaining gaps or to fill in any holes or depressions in the mat. Allow several hours to dry completely.
-
4
Use a brush to gently apply the vinyl paint over the repairs you just made. The vinyl paint fumes can be toxic to breathe in, so ventilate the room and use a paint mask. Follow all instructions on the can.
-
5
Allow at least 24 hours for the mat to dry, and keep it ventilated as much as possible during the process. Allow more drying time if recommended by the paint manufacturer.
