1
Cover the ends of your baton with plastic cap covers. Baton plastic cap covers are often available where batons are sold and come in a variety of colors. Choose your favorite colors or your school's colors. Pick glow-in-dark colors if you plan on twirling at night. These caps also come in handy when you are practicing and don't want to get your baton's ends dirty.

2
Decorate your baton with special baton decoration tape. Decoration tape comes in a variety of colors and textures. Using colorful grip tape allows you put some color onto your baton and also keep your grip when twirling. Other types of baton decoration tape, including vinyl, 3-D and Sparkle Fancy, allows for even greater customization and decoration.

Put colorful halos on the balls' necks and tips of batons. Halos are like a combination of plastic caps and decoration tape. They have the practical purpose of protecting the ends of your batons and also provide a decorative addition to your baton. Halos can come with Sparkle Fancy or 3D tape already applied or you can decorate a plain halo with your own choice of tape.
