Fun Games for Pep Rallies
-
Dance Off
-
Turn up the music and bust a move. Encourage team spirit by having representatives from each class, including the teachers, go head to head in a dance off. Choose a variety of dance songs and be ready to play a clip, 30 seconds to two minutes long depending on your time frame, during which each group gets to show off its moves. The crowd decides the winner by cheering the loudest for their favorite.
Role Play
-
Have team players dress up as the opposing team's cheerleaders to compete with their own cheerleaders in a cheer and dance competition. Plan ahead which players will participate to allow time to prepare costumes, cheers and dances. Naturally, the home-team cheerleaders will win.
Jigsaw Challenge
-
Write slogans or sayings on poster boards and cut them up in a jigsaw pattern. Representatives from each class work to put the jigsaw together the fastest. Whoever completes his puzzle the fastest and repeats the saying to the crowd first wins.
Create Your Own Cheer
-
Select three to five members from each class and give them five minutes to create their own cheer. At the end of five minutes, they present their cheers to the crowd. Get creative and ask the groups to come up with movements to accompany their cheers. The group with the most crowd support wins.
