Instructions

Start everyday with as many fingertip push-ups as possible. Each push-up will increase the strength in your fingers allowing you to better grip the basketball with each hand.

    • 2

Work the exercise hand grips throughout the day. Since they're not too large, you can carry them with you and squeeze them whenever possible. Try to complete about 50 reps a day or more. If you can't do 50, slowly build up your strength until you reach the magic number. Once you hit 50, don't stop there. Keep increasing the reps. Doing so will help you to better grip a basketball.

Squeeze the tennis ball as many times as possible before going to bed. This exercise provides a simple and easy way to strengthen your grip before falling asleep.

    • 4

Perform these exercises six days a week. When you first start, you may only be able to work these muscles every other day, but as you gain strength, six days a week will be a breeze.

    • 5

Wash your hands before gripping the basketball. You want to make sure you don't have any excess oil or sweat on your hands. Even a brand new Nike Men 4005 Tournament Basketball will slip through your hands if your hands have greasy residue.

Using the grooves to anchor your fingertips, try gripping the basketball. Over time you'll notice that you have better control of the ball.
