- Basketball court
Instructions
-
-
1
Each player gets a partner.
-
2
Partners line up in one corner of the court behind the baseline. They should be about 12 to 15 feet apart with one player holding the ball.
-
3
The drill begins with the first partners. The player without the ball calls out the name of the player with the ball.
-
4
The player with the ball throws a chest pass to his/her partner.
-
5
After the pass is caught, both players proceed up the court while calling out each other's names to receive the next pass. Remember, this is a warmup, so it should be done at about half-speed focusing on getting all body parts moving.
-
6
Once the partners ahead of you get past the free throw line, the next partners start.
-
7
The communication and chest passing continues all the way up the court, around the basket and back down the court.
-
8
When the players have completed the chest passes up and down the court, they will execute bounce passes in the same manner.
-
9
Finally, when the players have completed the bounce passes up and down the court, they will execute overhead passes in the same manner.
