Rondo with Added Defenders

Here is a great Rondo that you can use to start your training session and get your players physically and mentally warmed up. Rondos are a great way to prepare players for the game situations and especially the fast decision making needed within the game.

Set-up:

  • Keep the ball away from the players in the middle

  • Every 5 passes - add another defender

  • Total score after 5 tries = the amount of defenders that are in the middle when the ball is lost

  • To start, players are on limited movement (focus on passing and decision)

  • Progress to free movement for players in possession
