Suzuki Z400 Specs

The Suzuki QuadSport Z400 is a high-performance sport all terrain vehicle designed for off-road racing and recreational use. The 2009 Z400 is the latest model in the Z400 line, as Suzuki held off producing a new model in order to clear out existing stock. The Z400 has won numerous national racing titles and awards, and Suzuki introduced several new features with the 2009 model, which is available as the standard QuadSport Z400 or the upgraded QuadSport Z400 Limited.

  1. The QuadSport Z400 Limited Edition

    • There is no difference between the physical dimensions, engine, chassis, suspension, brakes, transmission or other major components of the 2009-2010 QuadSport Z400 and the 2009-2010 QuadSport Z400 Limited Edition. The only difference is that the Limited Edition is black and red while the regular QuadSport Z400 is available in either yellow or white.

    Physical Dimensions

    • The 2009-2010 Suzuki QuadSport Z400 72 is 72 inches long and 46.9 inches wide with a seat height of 31.9 inches, a ground clearance of 10.4 inches, a wheelbase of 49 inches and a curb weight of 425 pounds.

    Engine

    • The 2009-2010 Suzuki QuadSport Z400 comes with a fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, DOHC engine with a bore and stroke of 3.5 inches by 2.5 inches and a compression ratio of 11.3:1. It is a dry-sump engine with an electric starter and a CDI electric ignition. It is paired with a 5-speed forward -- with reverse -- transmission and a 26-link RK 520SMOZ10S driveshaft. The fuel tank holds 2.5 gallons.

    Chassis, Suspension and Brakes

    • The 2009-2010 Suzuki QuadSport Z400 has independent, double-wishbone, coil-spring, oil-damped suspension on the front and swingarm-type, coil-spring, oil-damped suspension on the rear. It has twin-disc brakes on the front and single-disc brakes on the rear. It comes with AT22 x 7 R10 tubeless tires on the front and AT20 x 10 R9 tubeless tires on the rear.
