1
Go to the right side of your bike and locate the plastic air filter cover that is located just below the seat, about where the back of your leg would come down if you sitting on the bike.
-
2
Use the allen wrench to remove the screws holding the plastic cover in place.
-
3
Pull the plastic cover off and then unscrew the butterfly nut holding the air filter in place inside the cover.
-
4
Carefully slide the old air filter out and examine it. Look for flaws, hot spots, or deformities. Use the compressed air to blow inside the air filter compartment to remove any dust or dirt that may have accumulated in there.
-
5
Slide the new air filter into place and tighten down the butterfly nut.
-
6
Slide the plastic cover back onto the air filter and reinstall the screws using the allen wrench. Start the bike up and let it idle for a few minutes to set the new air filter.
