Facts on JetLev-Flyer Water Jet Packs

The JetLev-Flyer Water Jet Pack is a water powered jetpack that provides a close-to-flying experience. It's protected by U.S. patent number 7,258,301.
  1. Product

    • The product can only be used on water and allows the user to fly at up to 8.5m, controlling height, direction and speed by handheld controls. It's powered by water sent up through a tube to a jetpack attached to the user's back. Two pressure guns fire water into the lake or river, generating enough power to push the user into the air.

    History

    • The concept was developed in 2000, with the first product tests taking place in 2005. In 2008, the Florida based company Jetlev Sports became licensed to develop production models alongside support from the German company MS Watersports GmbH. In 2009, the product was shown to the public for the first time at the Düsseldorf International Boat Show.

    Use

    • It's designed to be used in deep water where there is plenty of space and no risk of hitting anything. Users must be 18 or older and physically fit.
