2005 Honda CBR 600 RR Specifications

The Honda CBR600RR is a sport motorcycle first produced in 2003 as a replica of the Honda CBRFx series motorcycles. The CBR600RR was designed to be a racing version of the CBRFx. The 2005 model received a complete overhaul and featured new body work, better specifications and a lighter weight than its predecessors.

    • The Honda CBR600RR comes equipped with a 599 cc liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder engine and a bore and stoke measuring 67 mm by 42.5 mm. The compression ratio is 12-to-1. The ignition is computer-controlled digital transistorized with 3-D mapping, a new feature on the 2005 Honda CBR600RR.

    Steering and Suspension Components

    • The suspension features a 41 mm inverted HMAS cartridge fork with spring preload, rebound. The shocks consist of Unit Pro-Link HMAS single shocks with spring preload that add to increased handling of the Honda CBR600RR. The front brakes are equipped with dual radial-mounted four-piston calipers that come with 310 mm discs and the rear brakes are a single 220 mm disc. The front tires measure 17 inches with a wheelbase of 54.5 inches. The seat height is average for this type of racing bike and sits at a height of 32.3 inches. The fuel capacity is 4.8 gallons with a 0.9-gallon reserve tank in the event that you run out of gas. The 2005 model model weighed 9 lbs. less than the 2004 model based on a complete overhaul of the engine and exhaust.
