Nollie flip crooked grind
-
The Nollie flip crooked grind combines the Nollie kick-flip and the crooked grind. The Nollie takes place when the skater puts pressure on the concave shaped nose, located at the front of the board, while jumping in the air. The skater uses his back foot to level the board off by sliding it backwards. For the Nollie flip, the skater pops a Nollie off the nose while kicking the toes of his back foot in a downward motion. The crooked grind occurs when the skater grinds on the front truck at a 45-degree angle to the obstacle. The aluminum trucks hold the wheels in place. For the Nollie flip crooked grind, the skater pops a Nollie and then flips the board with his back toe. The board flips completely and then lands on a rail or ledge in the crooked grind position. The skater grinds the length of the object and then pops off to roll away.
Kickflip nose manual
-
The nose manual takes place when the skater pops an Ollie onto a flat surface and then balances on the front two wheels. The Ollie has the same motion as the Nollie yet takes place at the opposite end. The skater puts pressure on the concave-shaped tail of the board while jumping into the air. The kick-flip motion consists of the skater popping an Ollie and then flicking his front toes in a downward motion. The board flips completely upside down for a split second and then finishes its rotation. To perform the kick-flip nose manual the skater pops the tail of the board and spins the kick-flip. The skater then lands on the front two wheels and balances across the manual pad or other flat surface. The skater pops a Nollie at the end of the manual and lands on all four wheels.
Nollie backside heel-flip
-
The Nollie backside heel-flip combines the Nollie heel-flip with a backside 180-degree turn. The skater pops a Nollie while flicking the heel of his back foot in an outward motion. The skater turns his shoulders to complete the backside 180 as the board follows. For the regular-footed skater who rides with the left foot at the front of the board, the 180 spins in a clockwise motion. The goofy-footed skater who rides with the right foot at the front of the board, spins the 180 in a counterclockwise motion. The board flips once and completes a 180-degree turn before the skater lands back on top of the sandpaper-like grip tape.
