Instructions for Deep Water Aerobics Routines

Exercise is an important part of our day to day lives. It can be hard to get the right amount of exercise in everyday, however. It sometimes seems like the benefits of all the hard work doesn't amount to a payoff that is worth all the work. A good way to increase your aerobic exercise efficiency is to use deep water aerobics. Deep water aerobics will give you quicker results, due to the resistance of the water on your body while you exercise.
  1. Find the Right Pool

    • Before doing a single exercise you must find a pool suitable for your use. If you have your own pool, then you are all set and can move on to the next steps. If you don't have a pool, however, you will need to find one. In most towns, there are usually a variety of pools available for use. These can be pools used at high schools, community pools, or even pools for hotels. Research your pools carefully. Visit them a couple of times to find how busy they are and when they are busy. What kind of people come to the pool? Are they older, younger, well behaved, or dirty? Your pool is likely to be shared by many people, so make sure you're comfortable with the people in your pool. Finding the right pool and time is important.

    Make a Diverse Workout Schedule

    • As in any workout regiment, it's important to have a diverse level of exercises in your routine. Aerobics are a little different because they always work the same thing: your cardiovascular health. However, aerobics also exercise different body parts. Running exercises your legs. Jumping jacks work your arms, your legs, your balance and your co-ordination. Pushups work your arms. Try to avoid exercises that put you underwater for long periods of time. By working both your cardiovascular health and parts of your body, you will have a diverse and engaging workout routine.

    Examples of Aerobic Exercise

    • Here are a few great aerobic exercises to do. Jogging is always a great exercise. Jogging in deep water burns more calories because it's more difficult to move your limbs through the water. Doing laps is also an incredibly good deep water aerobic exercise. The water is too deep for your feet to touch, so you must constantly swim to stay afloat. Treading water is another excellent way to do aerobics. Treading water is not only good for your cardiovascular health, but it's also good for your arms and legs. Deep water jumping jacks are also good for you, but they don't quite have the same benefits as out of water jumping jacks. Without gravity to fight against, they aren't as effective.
