NordicTrack makes exercise equipment designed to achieve a number of health goals. The equipment includes treadmills, ellipticals, incline trainers, exercise bikes, skiers and striders. Each machine helps with overall fitness while individual machines help reach specific, targeted goals.
  1. Burning Calories

    • Testing shows treadmills burn calories better than any other exercise machines. Treadmills simulate running and walking, making it an ideal cardiovascular workout. A more advanced version of the treadmill is the Incline Trainer. It is a more difficult workout but will burn 5 times the calories of walking.

    Low Impact

    • Elliptical machines also provide a calorie burning cardiovascular workout but without the impact on knees and joints associated with treadmills. Likewise, a stationary bike will help burn calories and lose weight while providing little impact on the body.

    Full Body Workouts

    • Treadmills, ellipticals and stationary bikes all target muscle groups on the lower half of the body while burning calories. For a calorie-burning workout targeting the entire body, a skier is the best option. It will tone muscles while improving cardiovascular fitness. A strider will also target the lower and upper body. It is low impact like the elliptical but targets arm and leg muscles.
