1
Operate the conveyor belt and determine which direction the tracking needs to be adjusted. For example, if the belt is pulling to the right, then it should be pulled back to the left, so it is off track. Once you have determined which way you need to adjust it, turn the power off to the conveyor before beginning work.

2
Examine one of the ends of the belt and locate the tracking roller. Loosen the nuts on the roller with a wrench to move the pulleys left or right. This will adjust the tracking on the belt.
-
3
Push the tracking roller out by loosening the jack bolts with an open-end wrench if the belt is pulling to the left. Tighten the jack bolts with a wrench to pull the tracking roller toward you.

4
Flip on the power switch to the conveyor. Rest your hand on the top of the belt, while it is flat with the palm down. Push down with the heel of your palm to help the belt along until it begins operating by itself. After the tracking is adjusted, the belt may need a little assistance operating in the beginning. Adjust the tracking again if necessary.
