How to Convert Distance on a NordicTrack Elite 1300

The NordicTrack Elite 1300 is an in-home elliptical machine with 12 levels of resistance and upper body exercise arms. The console on the Elite 1300 provides immediate workout feedback, including elapsed time, pulse, approximate calories burned and "distance traveled." However, the Elite 1300 displays the distance in total pedals revolutions, not miles. The console has a matrix display, which is designed only to provide visual feedback of your progress, but you can use this display to convert the distance to miles.

Instructions

    • 1

Locate the matrix display, which is a large, rectangular screen, at the top-center of the console.

    • 2

Start your workout and observe the matrix display. As you work out, indicators light up around the track. Once the entire track lights up, all the indicators darken and start again.

    • 3

Record how many times you travel around the track.

    • 4

Sum up the total number of tracks you completed and multiply by .25 to convert the distance to miles. If you completed five tracks, you traveled 1.25 miles.
