How to Clean a VersaClimber

Traditional exercise equipment has been around for quite a while. Treadmills, exercise bikes and elliptical trainers are common in most private, public and home gyms. One item that is a bit more rare is the VersaClimber. Combining upper and lower body activity into a fluid vertical climbing motion, the VersaClimber has been proven to burn more calories than treadmills, steppers, ellipticals and exercise bikes. When you're using the VersaClimber on a regular basis, proper equipment maintenance is key for a long life with your cardiovascular equipment.

Instructions

    • 1

Following every workout, wipe down your machine with a damp, clean cloth. According to the manufacturer, sweat can contain a high amount of salt. This can corrode the VersaClimber, leaving it rusty and damaged.

    • 2

Perform monthly cleaning of the four slide and roller bearing units that are located within the vertical post structure containing the hand and foot grips and pedals. Run a damp, clean cloth inside the units to eliminate the thick, tar-like substance that results from frequent use.

    • 3

Spray a lubricant within the area cleaned in Step 2. Make sure to apply liberally and wipe off any excess lubricant with a dry, clean rag. This will allow the machine to move more freely, especially as the VersaClimber ages.
