How to Build Stamina

1
Modify your diet. Eating several small meals a day rather than a couple of large ones, will increase your energy and allow you to sustain physical activity for a longer period of time. Carbohydrates (especially whole grains) are especially useful for energy production, but keep in mind that they only last a couple of hours in your blood, so you need to space out your meals accordingly.

2
Take up running. Nothing builds endurance faster and more effectively than running, no matter the terrain or the distance covered. It also doesn’t matter what the sport you are training for is. Boxers, tennis players and all kinds of athletes need to build up endurance in order to keep up with the short bursts of energy required in their sport.

3
Join a gym. If you have never exercised before, a gym may be the best environment for you. Working out in machines is easier than working out outdoors because there’s no uneven terrain or elements such as wind or temperature changes to deal with. Also, gyms usually have floor trainers that can guide you through a workout if you are at a loss on how to get started.

Weight train often. Rather than focusing on how heavy the weights are, concentrate on a high number of repetitions, and keep working a muscle until fatigue sets in and you can no longer do a full repetition. Working your muscles to exhaustion builds a lot of stamina, and you will see the difference after just a few workouts.
