How to Find a Spinning Class

Spinning is an aerobic exercise created to strengthen and tone your leg muscles. It burns a lot of calories, requires very little coordination (since you are pedaling a stationary bike), and can be done by just about anyone since you can vary the difficulty by adjusting the tension on the bike. Spinning is performed on special bikes known as spinning bikes, and classes are usually full of inspirational music with an instructor walking you through the routine via a head mike.

Look for a community newsletter. You may be able to find classes in this newsletter at the local community center or at various other locations locally. These classes are aimed at citizens of your area, and there is generally no extra membership of any kind (such as gym memberships) required.

Contact your local community center or YMCA to find out if they offer classes on spinning. Don't forget to ask how much they charge.

Check with your local gyms to find out if they offer spinning classes. Ask about membership costs and about any special offers or promotions that they are having. Classes like this are often free to members, but you will have to pay to become a member of the gym.
