Place a barbell at approximately waist level and stand next to it on one side of your body. Step underneath the barbell with the longest side step you can manage. Then stand up on the other side of the barbell.

    • 2

Repeat the motion so that you return to the original starting position. Continue lunging underneath the barbell 10 times in both directions.

    • 3

Keep the barbell where it is and lie underneath it so that your shoulders are parallel, keeping your legs straight. Grab the bar, placing your hands shoulder-width apart.

    • 4

Touch the ground with only your heels, while holding the bar and you are in the starting position. Pull until your chest touches the bar, pause and then return to the starting position. Perform this motion 10 times.

    • 5

Find a weight that you can push over your head and load that amount onto the barbell. With an overhand grip, hold the bar at your shoulders and bend at the hips until your thighs are parallel to the floor.

    • 6

Push yourself up to a standing position and then continue to press the bar over your head. Repeat this move 10 times.
