Homemade Leg Stretcher

Making your own homemade leg stretcher can be done using nothing more than a simple bungee cord. Bungee cords can be purchased at almost any hardware store, auto supply store, camping supply store or online. There are many leg stretching mechanisms that can cost up to $200 or more, as of 2010; however, making your own leg stretcher will be less expensive and very easy to use.

Instructions

    • 1

Wrap one end of a three-foot-long bungee cord around your left arm.

    • 2

Wrap the other end of the same bungee cord around your right arm.

    • 3

Bring your right leg up at a 90 degree angle, and then rest the bungee cord in the arch of your foot.

    • 4

Push down on the bungee cord by stretching your leg until you feel comfortable with the stretch, and then bring your foot back up and bent to a 90 degree angle.

    • 5

Release the bungee cord from your foot and repeat with your left leg. If you feel uncomfortable using your homemade leg stretcher standing up, you can sit down to stretch.
