      Acquire Dragon Style Kung Fu training materials such as books or DVDs. There are also web-based resources available. Many libraries will be glad to order books and DVDs for you, however, your surest bet is to find them at a martial arts supply store.

      Establish an area to train in that is approximately 10 by 10 feet square. Dragon Style is a Southern style of Kung Fu, thus the attacks are short range and powerful. This makes it easier to train in a confined space such as in front of a computer or television which is convenient if you are using DVDs as training materials.

      Develop strong footwork first. Dragon Style Kung Fu generates its power from zig-zag footwork that generate power and make it difficult for your opponent to strike you. This forms the basis for the Dragon Kung Fu attack, which is almost always a counterattack. Through footwork and flexibility, Dragon Kung Fu practitioners constantly evade their opponents and then quickly counter with rapid strikes to vulnerable meridians and nerve endings.

      Learn the Dragons tail sweep. This is a powerful, sweeping low kick that is used to sweep an opponent off their feet once they have been tired out by evasions and weakened by pinpoint counterattacks.
