How to Install Windscreens on a Boat
Things You'll Need
- Windscreen kit
- China marker
- Drill
- Adhesive marine silicone caulk
- Putty knife
- Phillips screwdriver

Place the windscreen in the position where you wish to attach it on the boat. Push a china marker through the mounting bores to mark their location on the boat. Remove the windscreen from the boat.

Drill 1/8-inch pilot holes at the locations marked for the mounting screws that come with the windshield. Place the windscreen in position on the boat.

Spread a thin coating of adhesive marine silicone caulk on the putty knife to the bottom of the windscreen gasket. Position the windscreen grommet on the boat, and align it with the pilot holes in the boat.

Position the windscreen over the gasket, and align the windscreen with the pilot holes. Insert the mounting screws through the mounting screw grommets, and thread the screws into the pilot holes. Tighten the screws securely with a Phillips screwdriver.

Position the windscreen screw caps on the heads of the screws. Tap the caps with the handle of the screwdriver to secure them in place.
