DIY Foot Controlled Trolling Motor
Trolling motors are small secondary boat motors that mount on either the bow or the stern. These lightweight motors are favored by fishermen for navigating waterways because they do not require a lot of power or make a lot of noise, which scares the fish away. Trolling motors are connected directly to a 12-volt battery. Some trolling motors come equipped with an easy-to-use foot pedal, or sometimes foot pedals are sold as an aftermarket option. Installing a foot pedal is a do-it-yourself project that can be done in about 20 minutes.
