How to Connect the JetBoil to a Refillable

JetBoil stoves raise the bar in ultralight personal cooking systems with products designed to take up very little space in a backpack and sip fuel from its cannister. This mean less fuel needed for the duration of your outing. The purpose of the JetBoil is simple: boil water with as little fuss and fuel as possible, allowing the user to rehydrate meals and provide hot beverages that you can serve up in its neoprene-insulated one liter cup.

Instructions

Remove the plastic sipping lid and take out the burner base, fuel cannister and plastic stabilizers from inside the insulated cooking cup. Peel away the fuel cannister cap protecting screw threads and secure it for future use. Inspect the top of the fuel cannister for dents and debris. Inspect the burner base O-ring, where fuel cannister mates to unit, to ensure it is not missing, cracked or broken. That would allow fuel to leak out. Remove the plastic cover on the bottom of the cooking cup that protects the heating element, called a flux ring.

Twist the control valve on the burner base clockwise so that it is firmly in the off position. Holding the burner base upright, insert the fuel canister underneath and twist until firmly secured. Place the fuel canister on a flat open area, if additional stability is required snap the plastic stabilizers onto the base of the canister. Turn the control valve counterclockwise to open the fuel valve and press the electric ignition button on the side of the burner base to establish a flame.

Pour the desired amount of water into the cooking cup, visually line up the slots along the bottom of the cup with the protrusions along the top edge of the burner base. Mate together and turn clockwise, locking in place.
