1
Select a location with rabbit tracks or a trail that game is using to travel to and from a food source or water.
-
2
Cut a three- to four-foot-long sapling with the saw on a multi-tool. Cut the sapling at an angle so it can be inserted into the ground.
-
3
Push the pointed end of the sapling into the ground along the game trail so the stick extends over the trail at an angle.
-
4
Cut a 15-inch-long piece of snare wire with the wire cutters on the multi-tool. Form a one-inch loop in one end of the wire. Twist the free end of the wire around the main length with the pliers on the multi-tool to secure the wire loop.
-
5
Feed the free end of the wire through the one-inch loop and pull it through to form a larger loop. Form another one-inch loop in the free end of the wire with the multi-tool pliers.
-
6
Open the wire snare loop as much as possible. Cut a length of 550 paracord with the knife on the multi-tool. Tie one end of the paracord to the loop in the wire snare. Tie the other end of the paracord around the stick angled across the trail so the snare is four inches off the ground.
-
7
Add sticks alongside the snare to hold it in place and to funnel game such as rabbits through the snare wire.
