There comes a time in every president’s presidency, when they must step forth and eat some half-eaten leftover bear salmon. Whether it’s falling approval ratings, a problem with extremists in the Republican Party, a scandal involving an intern, or, as is the case here, quite literally some half-eaten leftover bear salmon.

Enter team Bear Grylls Obama – this teaser for a special edition of ‘Running Wild With Bear Grylls’ features 44th President of the United States Barack Obama eating a less-than-appetising piece of salmon. In a typically Bear Grylls manner , he delivers the, presumably dead, fish back to the President in a style that instantly brings to mind that scene in Lord of the Rings where Gollum delivers rabbit carcasses to Samwise and Frodo. He could at least cut it up first.

“Now why wouldn’t the bear finish this sucka? This looks like a nice-looking piece of fish,” says the President (who has presumably never been to a restaurant and actually seen what a nice-looking piece of fish looks like). Whatever, we genuinely can’t wait to watch this Running Wild episode in its entirety. It should be out before the end of the year. Overall, we’d say the president got it pretty lucky, considering what Michelle Rodriguez had for brunch…
