1
Park the camper on a flat spot and make sure the wheels are blocked with chocks. Go to the outer panels, typically on the camper's right side, and open the tank housing panel.
-
2
Check to see if there is an existing fresh water tank. Tanks are marked typically with "Fresh", "Grey" and "Black". If there is no fresh water tank, place the replacement based on your camper make and model (get a tank at RV and camper supply stores) in the housing in the dedicated fresh water tank location.
-
3
Go inside the camper and check under the sink for the connections hoses (hot and cold) that lead to the splitter at the heater. Follow the main hose to the panel and push it through the hole so it comes out in the water tank housing on the side of the camper.
-
4
Connect the main hose to the fresh water tank's nozzle with vise grips, ensuring a tight fit. Be sure there are two hose clamps around the hose. If they are not there, slide them on before connecting the hose to tank.
-
5
Tighten the hose clamps over the nozzle of the tank using a screwdriver.
-
6
Go back to the sink and check the hose connections at the faucets. If there are no hose clamps, pull the hoses off the connections with an adjustable wrench, slide hose clamps onto them, and then tighten the over the connections of the faucets.
-
7
Fill the fresh water tank with good drinking water. Turn the power to the camper on to power the water pump. Open the faucets to check on the flowing water.
