1
Measure the space for your camper's dinette. Typically, the table is approximately 30 inches above the floor, and the bench seats are approximately 20 inches deep. Adjust these measurements to fit your specific camper.
-
2
Build bench frames out of 2-by-4 lumber. Screw the 2-by-4 framing together with wood screws. Use a drill to install the screws. Brace the top of the frame with extra braces made of 2-by-4s so the seats are strong enough to carry the weight of those using the dinette. Cover the frame box with cabinet-grade plywood, leaving the top uncovered.
-
3
Build the lids to the benches. Cut cabinet-grade plywood to fit the bench and attach it with piano hinges so you can open the benches and store items inside them.
-
4
Cut a post for your table support out of a 4-inch-by-4-inch post. Make the post flush with the edge of your benches and centered in between them. Secure the post to the floor by squirting construction adhesive to the floor and positioning the post on top of it. Set your table top in place and secure it to the camper wall with L-brackets. Secure the table to the post with construction adhesive. Use one L-bracket on the inside of the post, screwing through the L-bracket and into both the post and the table top.

5
Stick self-adhesive hook and loop tape to the bench seats. Peel off the paper and press patio chair cushions into the adhesive, securing the cushions in place. For added comfort, secure patio cushions to the walls behind the benches and directly above the seats.
