How to Design Your Own Darts Shirt

Darts is both a recreational and professional game. Played in family basements for fun and in large tournaments for cash prizes, the game is regulated by the World Darts Federation and follows official established rules. Teams formed for tournaments, both local and international, typically sport uniforms similar to other recreational teams. While uniformed bottoms are optional, the shirts worn by members reflect the unity of the team and are designed to reflect the attitude of the team as a whole.

      Pick your shirt style and color. Basic T-shirts or button-down cotton shirts are common selections for dart teams. The color selection should set you apart from other teams in your league. Choose a color not already in use by another team if possible.

      Design your logo. Your team logo should be a graphic depiction of your team's name or related to the game of darts. A simple graphic of a dart or a dart board with your team's name around it is sufficient. The logo should be large enough to be noticed, but small enough to fit on the back of a shirt.

      Place your logo on the center back of your shirt. Do this by airbrushing, screen printing or fabric paint. Consider the cost of each option before deciding.

      Embroider each player's name on the front of her shirt. Placement should be over the heart. A professional may be needed to complete the embroidery.

      Decorate the sleeves of the shirt with association and/or sponsor logos. If you are playing in a sanctioned league, contact the World Darts Federation to purchase sleeve patches. Ask team sponsors for patches or have their names printed on the sleeves. The name of the venue in which the tournaments are held is also an option.
