How to Hang a Dartboard
Instructions

1
Choose a low-traffic area. You don't want people to walk in front of you when you're throwing a dart. Try to stay away from any fragile items. Remember, darts can bounce far off the board and hit nearby objects.
-
2
Make sure the space between the throwing area is clear of obstacles. Sometimes people set up their dartboards so they have to throw over items, such as a coffee table. This can be incredibly distracting and difficult to walk around when you go to retrieve your darts from the board.
-
3
Remember to factor in room for fellow players and spectators. They'll want to be comfortable and have a clear view of the board.
-
4
Consider hanging the dartboard on some type of backboard that extends around the sides of the dartboard. If you have any inexperienced dart players, you're bound to get a dart stuck in your wall at some point. A backboard will protect your walls.
-
5
Attach the dartboard at the correct height on the wall. You should measure 5 feet, 8 inches from the floor to the center of the dartboard.
-
6
Measure your toe line. The toe line is the line that you stand behind when you throw a dart. It should be 7 feet, 9.25 inches away from the front of the dartboard. Use a piece of heavy tape to mark the toe line on the floor.
