Planer Board Mast Installation
A planer board is installed on a fishing boat to distance the fishing lure from the wake and noise of an outboard motor. The planer board mast is used to hold the line up from the deck of the boat to the planer board. The planer board mast must be installed toward the front of the boat so that the fishing line is not in the way as it travels to the planer board, but far enough back that you have easy access to the fishing reels. Once you have chosen the location of your mast, you can begin installation.

-
3
Place the mast into the base plate and attach as directed by the instructions that came with the mast. Make sure that all connections are tight to prevent the mast from falling down.
