How to Make a Fishfinder Rig
The fishfinder rig is a single-hook setup that allows your bait to rest on the bottom surface of the body of water in which you are fishing. This rig is useful when targeting fish species that need time to get the bait in its mouth. The setup allows the fish to put the bait in its mouth and move away without sensing the weight of the sinker. Adjust the length of the lines and weight of the sinkers depending on your fishing style and local fishing grounds.

Work from inside the loop and make five wraps around the standing end. Lubricate and pull tight. Slide the knot down against the eye of the barrel swivel and trim the end using a pair of scissors.

Connect the shock leader to the other end of the barrel swivel by tying another uni knot.
