How to Replace the Mag Ejector in a Kahr MK40

Replacing the magazine release on your Kahr is simple. The Kahr MK40 is a .40 caliber semi-automatic pistol designed for those who carry concealed weapons. Because the dimensions are so small on these pistols, the magazine release must work properly. If it does not, it may cause the magazine to eject at inopportune times. This can leave the shooter in a very dangerous situation. If the assembly does not work properly, it can be replaced with a few parts and a screwdriver.

Things You'll Need

Put on the safety glasses. Place the pistol on a solid surface with the right side facing up. Insert the screwdriver into the slot of the magazine release. This is the magazine catch lock pin. Turn the pin until it releases. Be careful when removing the assembly; the spring is under compression and may pop out. Remove the pin.
