What Does RGB Mean for an RGB Sight?
-
RGB Sights
-
RGB gun sights can be mounted on pistols and rifles with various sizes, prices and ranges. Some versions have telescopes of various powers and crosshairs, along with adjustments for wind and trajectory, the amount of distance the bullet is expected to drop and curve with the gyroscopic action caused by it spinning. If all adjustments are correct and the sight is working properly, the bullet should strike the illuminated spot on the target. Different color spots appear more vividly in different lighting conditions.
Dot Color Visibility
-
Theoretically, the red dot will appear in all lighting conditions. However when target shooting, if the bull’s-eye is red, the dot may be difficult to see. Selecting a green or blue dot may improve its visibility. The blue dot theoretically provides the optimum visibility for dawn or dusk shooting, and may also work better with heavy cloud cover over a shady forest. The blue theoretically appears better for night shooting. In any situation, you can change colors to find the most visible dot for your target.
Shooting Safety
-
Before shooting any gun at a target or on a hunting trip, you should be thoroughly indoctrinated on gun safety. Accidents can happen more easily to people with little experience who don't understand how dangerous guns can be. Many communities have shooting ranges with professional instructors who teach gun operation, maintenance and safety. Before attempting to set up a target on your own or go on a hunting trip, you should attend a training course to prevent a tragic accident. Bring your RGB sight to the lesson for professional mounting and use instructions.
Shooting Laws
-
Government, state and local authorities have laws regarding types of guns that can be purchased legally, who can purchase them and in what quantities. There are also laws regarding areas where you can shoot, and how and when you can enter private of government property for target shooting or hunting. Violation of gun laws can carry severe penalties, and authorities usually don't show leniency for lack of knowledge of the laws. It's your responsibility to know them. For your own safety and that of others, familiarize yourself with gun laws before using your RGB sight.
