1
Set the individual ladder sections and the hunting platform on the ground near your hunting tree. Uncoil the ratchet strap cables and set them next to the ladder sections. Keep the ladder section lock pins and washers in a pocket or secure place with quick access.
-
2
Start at the top of the ladder sections (the tree stand) and slide each successive section into the metal telescoping rods (the ladder sides). Slide a washer onto a lock pin and push the lock pin through the rod hole, from the inside pushing out. Push the cotter pin through the outside end of the lock pin to secure the rods together. Continue this all the way down the ladder until it is fully assembled.
-
3
Raise the assembled ladder off the ground and set it against the tree, with the tree stand facing the direction you choose. Keep the ladder within approximately two feet of the tree.
-
4
Thread the first set of ratchet strap cables through the cable guides approximately six feet up the ladder. Run the cable around the tree and thread through the opposite side guide on the ladder. Run the cable strap through the ratchet mechanism and use the ratchet to tighten the strap as tightly as possible, locking the lower portion of the ladder against the tree.
-
5
Climb up the ladder carefully with the other ratchet cablestrap. Thread it through the guides just under the tree stand. Run it around the tree and through the opposite side guide.
-
6
Adjust the position of the tree stand before tightening the ratchet strap. Push it to the left or right and get it as level as possible.
-
7
Tighten the strap as tightly as possible. Brace as tightly against the ladder as possible during the tightening, as the upper section of the ladder moves up against the tree.
