1
Wrap your climbing belt around the tree and attach both clips to the belt loop on your waist. Tie a rope to the Loggy Bayou stand and place the stand against the base of the tree trunk. Tie the free end of the rope to the belt loop with a simple overhand knot.
-
2
Climb up your climbing rail system to reach a high level on the tree trunk. Climbing systems vary in style but most use several straps to secure the rail on the tree. Pull the climbing belt strap up the tree as you gain elevation.
-
3
Stop below the top of the climbing system. Grab the rope and pull the stand up the tree. Hold the tree stand against the tree trunk with the seat above the standing platform. Wrap the top strap around the tree trunk and hook the strap end on the top clevis. Push and pull the lever on the ratchet to cinch the strap on the tree.
-
4
Wrap the lower strap around the tree trunk and attach each strap hook to one of the holes on the lower frame. Push and pull the lever on the ratchet to cinch the strap around the tree.
-
5
Push and pull on the stand to ensure it is stable and secure on the tree trunk. Strap a safety harness around the tree above the stand seat and wear a harness on your body. Hook the tree harness to the body harness for extra safety and sit on the stand.
