How to Change the Colors in Fiber Optic Sights

An experienced hunter may often replace their colored fiber-optic sights to increase their accuracy and differentiate between the front sight and rear sight. These sights make the target more visible and help the hunter better hit their mark. The sights come in many brightly colored inserts but are traditionally orange or red.

Instructions

    • 1

Slide open the fiber optic rod on your rifle or handgun. Empty out the old sight which has been depleted or is the wrong color.

    • 2

Place a small dab of crazy glue on the middle of the rod which will support the sight. However, do not put glue on the front or back support as it will impede reinstalling it the next time.

    • 3

Open the pack of multicolored optic sights. Place your preferred color in the empty rod in the front or rear sight.

    • 4

Carefully load ammunition, release the safety on the weapon and use it with the replaced multicolored sights.
