About Polaris Jet Skis
-
History
-
The Polaris company initially was created in 1950, and it specialized in snowmobiles. But in the 1990s they released their first water-craft. In 1991, they entered the personal water-craft business with the introduction of its 1992 SL650.
Polaris
-
Polaris is a multi-faceted company that specializes in making products for the outdoors. From ATVs to snowmobiles, the employees build and design a fleet of machines for the outdoors. They are also avid riders, which helps them know the qualities that their mobiles should have.
Jet Skis
-
Polaris jet skis were not the first personal water-crafts on the market, but they are quality water-crafts. Their water-crafts use the same mechanisms as many of the other personal water-crafts, where the water is pulled from underneath the jet ski and is then ejected from the back.
Cost
-
When the Polaris Jet Skis were on the market, each cost about $10,000, which was similar to the pricing of the Yamaha Jet Skis. In 2004, Polaris stopped manufacturing jet skis, and the only way now to purchase a water-craft made by Polaris is to buy it used.
State of the Company
-
Though the company stopped making Polaris Jet Skis in 2004, they still are leaders in ATVs, snowmobiles and Ranger vehicles. They also manufacture motorcycles known as Victory Motorcycles. If a jet ski owner needs maintenance or repairs to their water-craft, they can order parts from different repair shops and then get back on the water.
