1
Plant your legs approximately 30 inches apart and bend your knees slightly. Dribble the basketball in a figure 8 through the space between and around your legs. Use your left hand and dribble the circuit in one direction before retracing your steps. Switch hands and repeat the drill. Use a stop watch to time how long it takes you to complete each circuit and set goals to improve speed each day.

2
Lower your knees and back to just above a squat and dribble the ball in front of you once with your left fingertips. Switch to your right fingers and dribble once before pushing the ball through your legs. Dribble once with your left fingers behind you, followed by your right hand. Switch back to the front; repeat for 30 seconds.

Combine dribbling practice with sit-ups to build several muscle groups simultaneously. Sit on the pavement with your legs straight out in front of you and knees bent in a raised sit-up position. Dribble with your left hand as you lower your back and head to the ground. As you come up, dribble the basketball around the front of your feet and retrieve it with your right hand. Continue dribbling with your right hand as you lower and raise yourself in another sit-up. Switch back to your left hand and complete eight more dribbling sit-ups.
