How to Make Wooden Crossbows
Things You'll Need
- Two wood blocks, 2 inches wide; one 2-feet-long piece, one 3-feet-long piece
- Nails
- Hammer
- Rubber band or strong elastic
Instructions

1
Form a "T" shape by placing the 2-feet-long piece of wood horizontally over the 3-feet-long piece, about 1 and a half inches from the end.
-
2
Hammer in a nail to secure the two wooden pieces together.
-
3
Hammer in one nail on either end of the shorter piece of wood until about an eighth inch of the nail is left sticking out. The nails must be securely driven into the wood to add strength to the bow and to make sure the wood does not slip when fired.
-
4
Connect the strong elastic or rubber band to the two nails on either side of the horizontal board. Make sure the elastic or rubber band is stretched tight so it will launch the object properly.
-
5
Place a bolt or other object against the middle of the elastic band. Pull back until it is firm. Aim the crossbow at your target and release the band to launch the object.
