Flying High Line Dance Instructions

Line dancing has become a very popular recreational activity for people of all ages. It is a part of high school physical education classes, recreational activities, night club activities and serves as a fun fitness activity at senior citizen centers. Some line dances, such as the Electric Slide and Cha Cha Boogie, are known to most line dancers while others are less well known. Flying High is a line dance that is gaining popularity. It is an easy two wall dance.

Instructions

      Flying High is simple enough for children to do it.

      Shuffle to the right side, rock back on left foot and recover onto the right foot for four counts. Then shuffle to the left side and make a quarter turn to the right shoulder, rock back on the right foot and recover on the left foot for four more counts.

      Point right toe to the right side, bring to center and step on it. Point left toe to the left side, bring it to the center and step on it for four counts. Touch right heel forward, quickly stepping on the ball of the right foot, and step onto the left foot for two counts. Repeat this two count step, for a total of eight counts.

      Walk forward -- stepping right, left, right and then touch the left toe forward -- for a total of four counts. Walk back -- left, right, left, and touch right toe to the left instep -- for another four counts.

      Four simple steps complete the dance.

      Point right toe to the right side, while making a quarter turn to the right, then step the right foot to the center. Finally, touch left toe to the left side and step left foot to the center. These actions will take four counts to complete.

      Repeat the previous steps over and over until the music ends.
