How to Tune a Response Trigger
A response trigger system is a mechanism that can be installed on your automatic or semi-automatic paintball gun. The trigger system was developed by Tippmann, a paintball equipment manufacturer. Trigger systems are used to regulate the speed and rate at which your gun can fire. In order to use the trigger system to its greatest effect, you need to tune it first. Fortunately, tuning your trigger system only takes a few minutes and requires only one tool.

1
Locate the flow adjustor control screw on the end of the response trigger. Look near the butt of the gun on the side of the gun where your trigger is installed.
-
2
Place the tip of the screwdriver against the control screw and turn it an eighth of a turn to the right.
-
3
Fire your gun at a target to test the firing speed. The speed refers to how many pellets are fired per pull of the trigger.
-
4
Turn the control screw to the right another fraction of a complete rotation. This will increase the firing speed.
-
5
Rotate the screw to the left if the pellets are firing too fast and you can't control your gun. You can stop loosening the screw once you can keep the gun steady while firing.
