How to Upgrade the Air Source Adapter on a Paintball Gun

Changing the Air Source Adapter or ASA on your paintball gun is an easy way to add increased functionality. An on/off ASA allows you to turn off your air supply without removing it from the gun which also makes removing the tank easier.

  • Pipe sealers tape
  • Open end wrenches
  • Allen wrenches

Instructions

      Take off all air sources, paintballs, hopper and barrel.

      Unscrew your current ASA from the paintball gun.

      Disconnect the hose attaching your ASA to your gun using an open end wrench to remove the fitting.

      Wipe clean the fitting you just removed from the old ASA. Then rewrap it in a small amount of pipe sealing tape and attach this fitting to the new ASA.

      Affix a plug or gauge to the second hole in your ASA if it has 2.

      Attach the new ASA to the paintball gun.

      Apply air pressure to the gun by attaching your tank and listening for leaks.
