How to Make Dance Paws
Dancing can give you painful blisters and sores if you don't take proper care of your feet. Wearing the proper protective gear is essential for any sport, and a dancer's feet are the most delicate tool available to them. But the protective gear essential to the artists is expensive. If they can make or upgrade it themselves then they do. Dance paws, covering the balls of a dancers feet, are wonderful for protecting from things like splinters, blisters, and bruises. They are also fairly simple to make.

1
Use the scissors to cut the heels and ankles from your socks. This should make socks that cover the toes, balls and arches of your feet.
-
2
Cut the toes in two sections from your socks. One section should be for your big toe, the other for the other toes. These cuts should leave a piece of cloth between your big toe and the next toe over, holding the sock in one place.
-
3
Lay the scrap of pleather on the floor and stand on the ball of your foot on top of it. Draw on the pleather to trace around your foot.
-
4
Cut out the piece of pleather which should match the shape of the balls of your feet.
-
5
Sew the edges of the pleather to the bottoms of the socks.
