DIY Bike Basket

Biking is a good exercise and many people leave it at that. However, some bicyclists use their bicycles as their primary means of transportation. If that sounds like you, or something you'd like to try, you need to outfit your bike with a means to carry groceries, a briefcase to work or items home from the store. Adding baskets to your bike does the trick. These are easy to remove as well.

Instructions

    • 1

Drill two holes in the bottom of the basket for drainage if you're caught in a rainstorm.

Drill five holes evenly spaced apart on one long side of each basket under the rim of the baskets.

    • 3

Thread a zipper plastic strip attachment through each hole and through the rear rack of the bike. You can use nylon rope if you can't find the zipper attachments.

Add a reflective sticker to the back of each basket so cars can see you more easily.
