How to Make a Bicycle Headlight

The primary purpose of a bicycle headlight is to alert others of your presence, thus preventing accidents. Of-course in very dark places, headlights can help you navigate. It is dangerous to be on the road at night without one. LED flash lights are bright and energy efficient. You can attach a small LED flashlight to a bicycle using rubber bands making it useful as a headlight.

Headlights specifically designed for bicycles range in price anywhere from a few dollars to over $50. Furthermore, flashlights of the same brightness and quality as "headlights" are often less expensive. When a bike falls or takes a pounding, a light attached with rubber bands will endure, while lights attached to plastic break may break. Rubber "gives" in times of stress, saving the light and keeping it together with your bike.
