    • Both can sail in less than 2' of water

      They feature shoal draft for shallow water sailing and safety features like the bow pulpit, positive flotation and self-draining cockpits.     Design Differences

    • Despite being 19 inches longer LOA (length over all), the West Wight Potter is only 6 inches longer LWL (length at the waterline). LWL is used to calculate the theoretical maximum hull speed.

      The Potter is 375 lbs. lighter than the Montgomery. Adding a trailer and equipment, the estimated towing weight of the Potter is 1,925 lbs. compared to the Montgomery's estimated 2,300 lbs.
